The Friends of the Beatley Library Workshop Series
October 6, 2012 – 2:00pm - Autumn Inspirations Jewelry Workshop (12 participant max) – Inspire your way into Fall in four jewelry projects plus a make-n-take earring center. The first in a series of workshops, we will cover basic jewelry making techniques like crimping, clasps and measuring and working with beading wire. A great place to start for beginners.
November 10, 2012 – 2:00pm - Vegan Beauty Workshop (12 participant max) – Learn how easy it is to create buttery beauty confections in your own microwave or on a stovetop in four projects. We will make a cuticle cream, a purse-size winter relief pod, a jar gloss and a lip stick.
December 8, 2012 – 2:00pm - Holiday Gifts Jewelry Workshop (12 participant max) – Bring your own projects to work on and take home a few to give this holiday season. There will be centers to make four unique holiday gifts and table to rubber stamp tags and make your own gift boxes.
January 5, 2013 – 2:00pm - Cabin Fever Aromatherapy Workshop (12 participant max) – Learn to create your own tea, make a sinus inhaler, stitch a lavender sachet and stir up a unique lotion in this four project workshop.
February 9, 2013 – 2:00pm - Love Inspired Jewelry Workshop (12 participant max) – We will capture the literary inspirations of Jane Austen, Emily Bronte and others in this romance inspired jewelry workshop, working with pewter, brass, pearls and lots of soft pink, red and burgundy in four projects.
March 9, 2013 – 2:00pm - Celtic Jewelry Workshop (12 participant max) – Beautiful Celtic symbols, rich green beads, flashes of gold and clover bobbles will adorn our four jewelry projects in this fun and light-hearted workshop.
April 6, 2013 – 2:00pm - Ice Tray Soap Workshop (12 participant max) – You will see just how easy it is to make melt-n-pour soap in a variety of combinations using various soap bases, scents, botanicals and even layering, creating two take-home trays of soaps to harden, pop-out and use.
May 4, 2013 – 2:00pm - Earth Elements Jewelry Workshop (12 participant max) – Coral, wood, shells, stones, minerals, clay and other elements will inspire our four earthy projects, plus a make-n-take earring center using the “treasure chest,” a bonanza of unique and even strange beads.
